This is my musical representation of an Aesop fable called The Ass and the Grasshopper that I wrote in an original composition. My friend and I both wrote versions to this story, his being in story form, mine being in a sonata-allegro form in C minor. The story goes: The donkey is intrigued by the sound of a grasshopper. So intrigued that he asks the grasshopper “What do you do that makes you sound so beautiful so that I can be able to as well?” The grasshopper replies “I only drink dew.” So the donkey eats nothing but dew and soon dies.

Question by Tinkerbell77: Does anyone know how to make a non-alcoholic grasshopper drink?
I searched the internet and came up empty handed. I want something that tastes similar to a regular one just no alcohol. Any ideas?

Answer by sue heee heeee!! there is a virgin drink for every alcoholic one!! Grasshoppers are no different.
Make a simple sugar syrup 1 cup sugar 1 cup water, bring to boil and flavor with one of the mint extracts. Bottle and chill. You can color it green or not, up to you.
Blend 1 ounce of the syrup with 3 ounces whipping cream.
Virgin Grasshopper!!
adding: about 1/2 teaspoon extract to that amount of syrup, ok?
